Nedojde-li k prokazatelnému zlepšení kompenzace diabetu o 7 % či vyššímu poklesu hladiny HbA1c při kontrole po 6 měsících léčby, sitagliptin není dále hrazen. V kombinaci s inzulinem nejsou léčivé přípravky s obsahem sitagliptinu hrazeny.
