Celekoxib je hrazen osobám s níže uvedeným rizikem:
a) krvácení z gastrointestinálního traktu v anamnéze,
b) prodělaná vředová choroba žaludku či duodena, ověřená fibroskopicky, v předchozích 20 letech života,
c) současná dlouhodobá celková léčba kortikoidy (t.j. déle než 6 – 8 týdnů), nebo
d) současná léčba antikoagulačními léky warfarinového typu.
Osobám s výše uvedeným rizikem je celekoxib hrazen u následujících diagnóz:
a) revmatoidní artritida a ankylozující spondylitida dospělých ve všech stadiích onemocnění,
b) osteoartróza nosných kloubů rentgenologicky III. – IV. stadia dle Kellgrena ve stadiu bolestivé dekompenzace či zánětlivé iritace.
Z prostředků veřejného zdravotního pojištění je hrazena v indikaci osteoartróza denní dávka celekoxibu do 200 mg včetně; v indikaci revmatoidní artritis denní dávka celekoxibu do 400 mg včetně; v indikaci ankylozující spondylitida denní dávka celekoxibu do 400 mg včetně.
