Léčivý přípravek s obsahem chondroitin sulfátu je hrazen u pacientů s gonartrózou či koxartrózou II. – III. stupně dle Kellgren-Lawrence, unilaterální či bilaterální s významnými epizodami kloubní bolesti s častou zánětlivou a bolestivou iritací. Léčivý přípravek je dále hrazen u pacientů s osteoartrózou drobných kloubů rukou s častou zánětlivou a bolestivou iritací. Farmakoterapie je hrazena pacientům, kteří současně dodržují doporučená režimová opatření (jako např. redukce váhy, fyzikální léčba či rehabilitace). Léčba je hrazena nejdéle 3 měsíce. Pro opakování hrazené léčby musí být po ukončení tří měsíční léčby v dokumentaci pacienta založen podklad o účinnosti předchozího cyklu terapie. Nebude-li předcházející léčba doložena účinností za pomocí validizované hodnotící škály pro hodnocení bolesti VAS, nebude předmětný léčivý přípravek dále hrazen.
