Léčba je dále hrazena, dokud je prokazatelný příznivý efekt na kvalitu života (hodnoceno komplexně – kognitivní funkce, neuropsychiatrické příznaky, aktivity denního života), pravidelně hodnocený v intervalu 3-6 měsíců dle stavu. Donepezil a galantamin nejsou hrazeny u těžké a terminální demence.
