Léčba teduglutidem není hrazena u pacientů s aktivním maligním onemocněním nebo podezřením na malignitu a u pacientů s anamnézou výskytu maligního onemocnění GIT včetně hepatobiliárního systému a pankreatu v posledních pěti letech.
Léčba se ukončí kdykoliv z důvodu neakceptovatelné toxicity nebo pokud není dosaženo v průběhu 52 týdnů alespoň 20% redukce v objemu parenterální infusion terapie. U pediatrických pacientů je pro užití uvedené podmínky redukce nezbytné zohlednění aktuální hmotnosti pacienta.
