Parathyroidní hormon PTH (1-84) je hrazen jako přídatná léčba dospělých pacientů s chronickou hypoparathyreózou, kteří nejsou dostatečně kontrolováni samostatnou standardní léčbou.
Odpověď na léčbu je vyhodnocena po 24 týdnech, kdy v léčbě pokračují pacienti, kteří splnili všechna následující kritéria:
1) 50 % či vyšší snížení dávek oralho kalcia oproti zahájení léčby,
2) 50 % či vyšší snížení dávek aktivního vitaminu D oproti zahájení léčby,
3) udržení stabilní hladiny celkového sérového kalcia korigovaného dle albuminu vyšší nebo rovné koncentraci při zahájení léčby a nižší nebo rovné horní hranici normálu (ULN).
