1) V adjuvanci u postmenopauzálních pacientek s karcinomem prsu je lékem první volby tamoxifen. Inhibitory aromatáz jsou hrazeny v případě:
a) kontraindikace tamoxifenu
b) u pacientek se středním a vysokým rizikem relapsu (dle St. Gallen)
c) po 2-3 letech podávání tamoxifenu (switch aplikace)
d) po 5 letech podávání tamoxifenu (prodloužená adjuvance)
2) v paliativní léčbě metastatického onemocnění je lékem první volby tamoxifen. Inhibitory aromatáz jsou hrazeny v případě kontraindikace tamoxifenu nebo při relapsu do jednoho roku po ukončení léčby tamoxifenem.
