Oral budesonid je hrazen:
a)u Crohnovy choroby, kde vznikla potřeba léčby lokálně působícími steroidy.
b)u dospělých pacientů s histologicky prokázanou aktivní mikroskopickou kolitidou, a to v dávce 9 mg/den v rámci indukční terapie pro navození remise (maximálně 8 týdnů). Pokud u pacienta, který dosáhl po indukční terapii remise, dojde k relapsu, je hrazen druhý cyklus indukční terapie (9 mg za den po dobu maximálně 8 týdnů), následovaný po navození remise udržovací léčbou ve snížených dávkách (maximálně 6 mg za den) po dobu 12 months. Pokud během udržovací léčby dojde opětovně k relapsu, léčba je ukončena.
