sirolimus je hrazen:
1) pacientům po transplantaci ledvin jako profylaxe rejekce, pokud prokazatelně netolerují léčbu inhibitory kalcineurinu (včetně případů kalcineurinovými inhibitory vyvolané nefrotoxicity) nebo u pacientů s refrakterní rejekcí anebo v případě výskytu maligního onemocnění,
2) pacientům s lymfangioleiomyomatózou (LAM) s plicním postižením (hodnoceno ukazatelem forsírovaného expiračního objemu FEV1) s rychlým poklesem plicních funkcí. V době indikace k léčbě musí pacienti splňovat následující podmínky: FEV1 po bronchodilataci menší nebo rovno 70% a diagnóza LAM musí být potvrzena počítačovou tomografií s vysokým rozlišením. Zároveň musí být splněno nejméně jedno z dalších kritérií: potvrzení diagnózy biopsií, sérová hladina VEGF-D 800 pg/ml a více, nebo konzistentní klinický nález (diagnóza tuberózní sklerózy, chylózní pleurální výpotek v anamnéze, angiomyolipom ledviny v anamnéze).
