Kabazitaxel v kombinaci s prednisonem nebo prednisolonem je hrazen v terapii metastazujícího kastračně rezistentního karcinomu prostaty pacientům se stavem výkonnosti ECOG 0-1 dříve léčeným režimem obsahujícím docetaxel. Pacienti mohou být předléčeni jednou až dvěma liniemi chemoterapie (docetaxelem). Léčba je hrazena do progrese onemocnění (progrese PSA nebo bolesti nebo rentgenologické progrese nádoru nebo výskytu nepříznivé skeletální příhody), maximálně však do 10 podaných cyklů léčivého přípravku. Přípravek není hrazen pacientům s periferní neuropatií nebo stomatitidou 2. či vyššího stupně a pacientům se závažnými komorbiditami (včetně duplicitních malignit).
